Who knew that NY, NJ, and PA all meet? Not us, but now we do, and it's right here in Port Jervis. Seems odd to have a "port" so far inland, but we presume the Delaware River was a pretty big deal back in the colonial days so this must have been a loading place for like beaver pelts or something like that.
In terms of hotels, don't think twice about it. Everyone will stay at the venue in fun, elevated camp cabins (yes running water and A/C). You will also be assigned bunkmates to share with! It will be fun, just like a sleepover!
For those concerned about cabins, don't be. We will choose the cabin you are in and your bunkmates. You're with friends and/or family, trust us, embrace the camp life.
How to get here:
- Plug it into your GPS! The address is 1 Team Usa Way, Port Jervis, NY 12771. It's about a 90 minute drive from Manhattan, a little more from Brooklyn, a little less from Newark.
- If you are flying in, the best airport by far is Newark Liberty (unfortunately). Going into JFK or LaGuardia puts you on the wrong side of the Hudson and subject to extra miserable traffic.
- Note that Taxi/Uber/Lyft is very limited in Port Jervis, not something to count on. Carpooling with friends from NYC is encouraged!.
