We will having a welcome pool party with light snacks and invite you to arrive early if you can to get the fun weekend started early!
For those who cannot arrive until later, you won't want to miss this! Get out of the city and get up to camp!
Where our story didn't start: Nashville! We'll say some prayers, enjoy a meal, and maybe some line dancing. Wear your best Nashville attire, see our lookbooks for outfit inspirations.
If you thought there wouldn't be a star talk, you can uninvite yourself. Let's gather round the campfires and collectively ponder our place and our love in the universe.
The groom strongly recommends not going to bed early. You are welcome to stay up later alongside him if you like.
Saturday · August 15
Trumpets will sound morning wake up. This is your 30 minute warning to present yourself at the pavilion for mandatory roll call. Attire is sporty (no lookbook provided, you can figure this one out).
Start the day right with optional (but strongly encouraged!) Yoga to stretch out and loosen up or join in our guided hike through the woods.
Breakfast will be served at the pavilion. You'll need your energy for the day and breakfast is supposed to be the most important meal.
Bring your A game, we have planned a full on Color War. May the odds be ever in your favor as we compete in field games in and around the lake.
Events may include:
- Dizzy Bat Relay Race
- Water Balloon Toss
- Dodgeball
- Kickball
- Tug of War
- Field Goal Kicking Contest
- Basketball Knockout
- Capture the Flag
It will be hot and ready.
A mystery final event may decide the ultimate color war winner. After which, free play time! A Zip Line will be prominantly featured as an alternative way to enter the lake, an arts and crafts booth will be available for shoreside fun. If the mood strikes, a pickleball tournament may break out and/or soccer, basketball, flag football, and/or softball game(s).
While the fun camp activities must come to an end, it is only to give way for the fun of the ceremony and later partying. See our lookbooks for outfit inspiration.
We can't possibly be married sober. Expect passed apps.
The groom will lead a procession parade down to the lakefront where you will take your seats and ceremony will start promptly ahead of 7:57pm sunset. Our professional pictures will be better than your phone pictures and we want you to be present: keep your phones in your pocket/purse!
Let's party! Dinner, dancing, and a few speeches. Please capture as many photos as you like, we'd love for you to send us what you've got at some point.
Self-explanatory. Reminder: it is considered good manners to stay up late into the night. When you do finally turn in, don't seek us out to say goodnight, just go!
Sunday · August 16
Less important than Breakfast, but somehow more important than Lunch.
We must checkout of our rooms by 11am. When you have to go, just go! Don't feel like you have to seek us out to say how much fun you had before saying goodbye. You are our best friends and family, we'll see you again soon and you can tell us then.
